Barbara O’Neal General Counsel of JOMA (Properties) Ltd., is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and the University of the West Indies, and the Hugh Wooding Law School at the University of the West Indies. She is a director of JOMA (Properties) Ltd.
Barbara practiced law for over fifteen years at O’Neal Webster. She is one of the most experienced and highly regarded property lawyers in the British Virgin Islands and has worked as lead counsel for major real estate clients in the tourism industry. She also has considerable experience in planning law, having served as Chairperson of the Land Development Control Authority for many years and on the Planning Appeal Tribunal. In addition to her law practice, Barbara has served in leadership positions on multiple public sector boards and non-profit organizations.
As General Counsel, Barbara O’Neal is responsible for the company’s legal management, including leasing, contracting, corporate compliance and regulatory matters.
