As a Director and General Counsel, Barbara O’Neal is responsible for JOMA Properties Legal, Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Investor Relations and Government Policy adherence.
A dynamic leader, Barbara has played a key role in contract negotiations, assistance in risk evaluation and compliance matters. She also directs lease agreements, corporate functions, board related matters, strategic planning and the development of company policies.
Previously in her legal career spanning thirty-two years, Barbara was a partner of the law firm of O’Neal Webster. As a partner she headed the commercial department, having responsibility for its management and development. She is one of the most experienced and highly regarded property lawyers in the British Virgin Islands and has worked for major real estate clients in the tourism industry.
Barbara has been dedicated to service throughout her professional career having held numerous notable appointments. With considerable experience in planning law, one such appointment was Chairperson of the Land Development Control Authority for many years and on the Planning Appeal Tribunal.
She enjoys being active in community service, dabbling in art and design, travel and physical fitness.[spacer size=”80″]
